“Don’t long for “the good old days.” This is not wise.” Ecclesiastes 7:10 NLT

At times when besieged by present challenges or future fears we look at our “good old days” and begin to complain about what we are going through.

Some Israelites missed the promised land because their minds were focused on Egypt, do not make the same mistake!

Your best is yet to come, you may have had good old days but you are having better new ones.

Don’t be so caught up in your past that you misuse your present and lose your future.

You know the funny thing, our minds play tricks on us.
Those things we call good old days may be far from good. If we are to be honest with ourselves in those days we used to complain and dream about another set of good old days.

The children of Israel complained to Moses that even in Egypt they had it better. They forgot that the same Egypt was were they were slaves and cried unto God for deliverance.

We do the same thing, at times we pick our memories.
But even if you have actually had good old days, so what?

Life should not be lived in the reverse.

No matter what you have lost, life is not over if you are still alive

Get over your sulking about your loss and with God’s help begin to build a meaningful future.

God is not through with you yet and those so called “good old days” cannot compare to what God has for you.

” But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
1Cor 2:9 KJV
